How to safely open & close your Goro Goro Pouch

Accidents happen everyday. So when we can prevent them, it’s better to do so. Smaller zippers are easy for gliders to pry open and escape, so we have incorporated a chunkier sturdier zipper to make it more difficult for them to open with their dexterous little paws. However, a chunkier zipper also means serious injury if any of their little fingers, toes or tail gets zipped.

So here is a short tutorial on how to safely open your GGP with little risk of injury to your pet.

 

Firstly, slip a finger or two under the zipper to block itchy little limbs.

 

Then hold both top and bottom sides of the zipper.

 

Then pull the zipper as much as you can without removing your fingers from the underside. Use your other hand to hold around the remaining unzipped area. Gently push in any little body parts sticking out above the squeezed area before zipping it shut.

 

Hopefully this helps if you have been having trouble with the zipper, or worrying about accidentally zipping your baby.

How To Use & Maintain Your Goro Goro Pouch

Here’s a general guide on how to keep your Goro Goro Pouch in top shape & to extend it’s usage for years to come.

• Ensure all limbs of the glider is in the pouch before zipping up. The zip is larger than standard pouches so it may hurt the glider if zipped while it’s tail or limbs are sticking out of the pouch.
• For rodents such as rats, mice, chipmunks & hamsters, do not leave them in the pouch for long hours unattended. These pets can chew through plastic & fabric so they may chew a hole if left in the pouch for too long.
• Do not wash in washing machine when using normal mode. Only delicate mode as the metal buckles may damage the fabric in other modes.
• Do not soak for long hours.
• Hand wash with luke warm water.
• Use detergent for infant clothes & cloth diapers. Avoid softeners.

Only Sugar Gliders?

Are Goro Goro Pouches only for sugar gliders? It was created mainly for sugar gliders but that doesn’t mean it’s only meant for sugar gliders now is it? Goro Goro Pouches are spacious, comfortable & suitable for many pocket pets! I believe over the years many owners of marmoset monkeys & rats have searched for pouches suitable for their pocket pets but have found almost none big enough. Standard sugar glider pouches are designed like doggie bags/paper bags so it does not provide enough space for larger pocket pets. However, Goro Goro Pouches are the perfect pouch for such other pets as it is wider in width, more durable & the wide denim strap provides comfort for the owner when carrying a heavier pet.
